Tenrec advise

Hi Everyone

I'm new to this forum I have a hedgehog, which is suppose to be my son's however because he continues to roll into a ball and prick him, my little one now doesn't enjoy holding him and the hedgehog is slowly becoming mine... After a visit to a pet shop this and seeing a Tenrec, I think that maybe the way to go for a pet for him... I would greatly appreciate any info on a Tenrec and if they make good pets, easy to keep, etc

Then, I'm also looking for a breeder of Tenrecs, I'm very skeptical about buying such a specialized pet on gumtree or in a pet shop. I'm looking for a baby one. What sort of price do they go for?
