I don't think Armadillos require UV as most mammals do fine without it..........

If You mean armadilo lizards - yes, they need a reptiglo 5.0 or 6.0 at least I have lost some juves of mine CB Cordylus tropidosternum without UVB and have no problems using reptiglo lamps...
Adults of all Cordylus spp. tropidosternum, beraducci or mossambicus (long ago was a subspecies of warreni) are strong animals and if You provide a good care and hibernation You may have juves.
This is not concerning Your native species as they are more dry than these eastern africans.

Thanx very much for the info Ive got a whole colony of this species now and the are all doing 100% even though there is 3 males between the 9 of them I just wish they would bite their tails once so i can see it they are actually taming down quite fast.
Now what i really need to know is how to sex them because i was only told that there is 3 males but not wich ones are the males??? Any advice will be much appreceated

Thanks for warm words and welcome.
As for other reptiles - I do have a little personally at home but as working for the local Zoo - I have a lot there to care for
At home I have just several:
1.3 Eublepharis macularius group I keep from loong ago, the elder femael counts ~ 16 years old now.
I also have just some other favourites like:
2.1 Underwoodisaurus milii
1.1 Uroplatus pietchmanni
1.4.8 Cordylus tropidosternum
1.1 C. beraducci
Some time ago I kept huge amount of different reptiles, mostly geckos but for last 18 years focused on the theraphosid spiders - tarantulas or baboon-spiders like them used to call in RSA as I knew.
As for the distinguished male from the female of Cordylus spp. it is really possible but not that simple if You never saw what to look for.
Here, I was trying to describe how and what and also You'll find the marked picture as well.

i got myself a Bosc's monitor, really rad little dude, its 4 months old at the moment and like a fire cracker. i've had mine now for less than 2 months and its doing great, tamed nicely, but still a bit skittish and runs and hides behind its water bowl when i enter the room. but easy to keep, just feed it pinkies, quail eggs, meat, and insects and he's as safe as houses. really awesome lil fellow and looking forward to feveloping a strong bond with it. i would definelty recommened a Bosc's monitor!!!

They are legal.
