Awesome photography.

That P. janii is an awesome find! Not something everyone finds.

Thanx for the post.

Love the tail wag on the Amblyodipsas.

A little Black file snake from the Naboomspruit area. Thought it was a wolf snake at first, what a pleasant suprise! Broadleaf woodland in the waterberg. Found a DOR capensis a few kilometers away, my first file snakes and both in one day, now to find a live one!

A pretty Psammophis brevirostris from Rust de winter dam. The snake must've swam the best part of a kilometer. It's a narrow dam but this chap cruised along way out in the middle for a long way before turning to shore. Amazing stamina for a reptile! I've never seen a short-snout with a bright red/orange throat like this. Is it common? Snake was about a meter long and very stout for a grass snake.
