Ready for this?

Postby vuduman » Fri Dec 19, 2014 1:33 pm

A mate caught something special that is now in my possession.
I was going to wait till she is in a bit better condition, but she is rapidly putting on weight. She was all spine and head.
Around 50cm female what I presume to be a lucistic herald!(Crotaphopeltis hotamboeia)
The eyes are black with a red pupil.Very well behaved and it took me a while to ID her till she was in my hands.
Nice breeding project to follow for sure :)

Nice stuff Vuduman.

That's a special find indeed. I hope she does well with you and produces tons of babies.

Was it caught that size? Goes to show "anomalous" specimens can still survive.

Thanks Westley.Ye.Got caught a few weeks ago.It was very skinny..so maybe it just laid eggs.I think she barely escaped withher life in the passed. The head has a old scar thats perfectly healed and on the side of the neck another old scar that claimed one or two scales...but perfect in any other way.Very happy with her.

Lucky lucy indeed. She is a good size one too.

Makes me wonder what other local oddities are out there surviving in the shadows.

Vudu that snake is GLORIOUS! I officially hate you ;P (PS not really...)

Thanks guys. The snake is doing perfectly fine and she has put on enough bodymass to breed.I managed to get two little normal males now but have seen no breeding activity.Might have missed the season.
She is very interesting indeed. She act very different to any other herald I have kept in the passed and very curious.Very lovely animal indeed :)
