Friend of mine has hatched almost fifty. He puts them in large tubs with little ventilation and leaves them half buried in soil in his reptile room which is at about 23 degrees celcius. It is a very long wait, almost a year. Beware when hatching them, once they begin to hatch they have a yolk sack attached to their belly. At this stage they should be kept as sterile as possible. Flies love laying their maggots in the yolk, which causes the tortoise to die.
