Hi all

Is it ok to plant ferns in my Iguana cage?

Yes, but even tree ferns are very delicate and their leaves break easily, so if you have a large iguana he is probably going to tare the plant apart very soon. I would rather go for a ficus tree or something similar that is safe.

Actually a ficus tree will be at the top of my list because it's not poisonous and eating the leaves are not a problem. It's also a cheap plant readily available and you get many sizes and shapes. Those bonsai ficus trees are very attractive looking as well.

I have a baby iguana, about 20cm head to tail. Are the common garden ferns poisonous?
