Meet Prince the 2nd

Postby kostantine » Tue Jan 29, 2013 1:09 am

I present you Prince the 2nd. Named Prince, because he's extremely large for his age, and 2nd because he's my second green iguana I pet. He's pretty cool animal and loves me to the bone. Well, I offer him the best I can concerning food and clean. The problem is, I want to offer him a whole room which I unfortunately can't.

I picked him up from a close to my area pet-shop, when he was about 3-4 months old on latter 2009. Here some photos.

He was growing fast:

He is going to be 4 years old on March, and he's alreadt 166 cm and 8kg. He loves fresh green leafs, endives, radishes, nasturtiums, pak choi, kales, sweet potatos, sweet peppers, okras, peas, fresh green beans and some fruits which I give him occasionaly only.

He looks nice and healthy. Just an amazing animal once or if you can get them to calm down.

@ leopardgecko, what do you use a towl for? :D

The truth is, he was extremely aggresive 12 months before. So aggresive that his snout upper jaw, disformed from the crashes on the glass. But as a miracle, now he's a very calm animal. His medical history has a Dietary MBD, which led to a respiratory disease followed of bad sheddings. It was the pet-shop fault, because the problem occured once I bought him. But my vet handled it good enough. He's ok now, but it wasn't that easy.

The towl is because he's after his bath. I wipe him. He has his own towl. :D
