Modification to rack system

Modification to rack system

Postby TJ&ACP » Sun Apr 24, 2016 7:03 pm

This is what I have done to the rack system bought from Louis.

1) Upon delivery the new rack system was put onto wheels.

2) The heat cable was rerouted to have most heat inside the tub area

3) Switches were added to enable to switch levels off if not in use. The white switch is where the controller probe is.

4) A controller was added and the best place was in the base of the system, holes was drilled and covered for ventilation.

5) A circuit breaker was installed to provide extra protection to the electrical components.
A 3 pole contactor is use to take the load of the controller. The ratio that I used is 4/3/3.
Meaning L1 of the contactor is feeding the first 4 levels of the rack, L2 the next 3 levels and L3 the last 3 levels.

6) The next step was to find an idea to lock and secure each tub. I have played around with various ideas and decided on this one

Making “doors” one for each tub.

7) Hasp & Staples are use for locking and just for extra touch a card holder was added.

8) Finely “The occupant”

As a general rule, the more we learn about snakes and their ways, the less fear we have of them. This is usually not so with the Mamba.
The more one learns of his ways, the greater grows the dread of him.
He, without doubt, is the King of Snakes in South Africa.
For quickness, aggressiveness, and the deadly nature of his venom, he has no equal.

Those are great modifications. Doing it yourself costs a lot less than having them put into a custom build. You also have the advantage of knowing exactly how the wiring was done so that you dont have to guess in future.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
